We went to the Peninsula Winter Games this weekend. There was a lot of fun stuff to do. We watched hockey games, figure skating, ice carving, dog weight pulls (kinda like the horse weight pulls in Potter County) and broom hockey. We rode on a sled pulled by a snowmachine, went on a sleigh ride, got to use kicksleds, iced cookies, made toy bobsleds, and had lunch.In this photo, chad is doing the Frozen Salmon Toss. He threw it 15 feet. Not bad for a first time.
He also bowled on ice.
This is Abigail in front of the Finding Nemo sculpture. We really enjoy seeing the ice sculptures. This year, there was also Goofy playing hockey, Darth Vader, a pair of mountain goats, a sea lion catching a salmon, a shark eating flounder, two sculptures of seals swimming, and an abstract that we thought looked like a dragon with its head stuck in a jelly doughnut.
