Youth Service
Well, it hasn't been completely boring here. Mom forgot, in her last blog, to mention that Jubilee Baptist Church had a Youth Service a couple Sundays ago. Chad and Scott participated. Chad read the morning Scripture and Scott took the offering. Both did a fine job. Chad was scared to get in front of everyone, but since Mom had mentioned that he should preach something he had learned lately, he got off easy. Jared Wood led the song service and Sam Wood preached. The Wood girls provided special music and Rebekah Wood played the piano for the whole service. It was a great opportunity for all of them to minister.

Monotany in Alaska
Hi everyone -
We're doing well here in Alaska. We don't have any new photos to post, but thought we'd leave a note. We're still doing pretty well in school. We got report cards a couple weeks ago. We did better the first quarter, but Mom and Dad are encouraging us to do better again in the third quarter. Scott and Abby are going to be going on an honor roll trip this month, and Chad has earned a free day off of school. We are excited about those rewards.
It's cold again here. Today it's been in the single digits. When we got up this morning, it was -12. We went to Anchor Point with Dad. It was a beautiful drive, since dawn lasts a couple hours. The mountains were pink the whole time, and the inlet was misty purple. We read from a book, ate some snacks and had some fun. And we saw the sled dogs getting ready for the start of the Tustemena 200 race. Abby wanted to stop, but we weren't dressed for standing in the snow for half an hour.
The rest of the day has been relaxation and play. We went outside to sled and dig in the snow. It'll be dark soon, so we'll need to be in. Then we'lll work on our math facts and spelling words.
