I had the privilege today, for the first time in twelve years, to take a midday shower without interruption. Whoo!!! Hooooo!!! It was so amazing to step into the hall and realize that the kids were playing together, the house was not on fire, and nothing had happened that couldn't wait.
So, for those of you who are mothers: If you could take an uninterrupted shower, bask in that knowledge. Pat yourself on the back for raising children who grew to be independent of you. And, if you have the time, go take a midday shower, just for the heck of it.
For you Moms who can't do that yet, hang in there. Your time will come.
P.S. I also bought my first pair of white capris this week.

Showers like that are AMAZING!! Haven't had too many of those! Unless the husband is home which doesn't count. And white capris?? OMG!!
